To think a toll is even possible is folly. Can you imagine a toll across the bridge? <br /><br />The bridge is and will continue to be a fluid connection in the Vancouver-Portland region. This is not like a stretch of highway on land. It's one of the only two local places to cross the Columbia River. To toll it is crazy.<br /><br />Then there's the cost of repeated crossings that many of us do weekly even if we don't commute. Tim's right: this is a state and federal project.
